Editor's Notes and Comments:

Product Description:
Accounting has become known as the language of business. This new edition is written to meet the needs of those students who will not be accountants but who do need to understand accounting to learn the key language that embarks us in the business world. 'Marshall', the leading text in the Survey market, takes readers through the basics: what accounting information is, what it means, and how it is used. In using this text, students examine financial statements and discover what they do and do not communicate. This enables them to gain the crucial decision-making and problem-solving skills they need in order to succeed in a professional environment. The new edition still has a strong focus on Return on Investment while updated content is integrated throughout.

Customer Reviews
User popularity level: out of 5 stars

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Just In Time!!!
The condition of the product received was exactly as described. I received my book quickly and the seller responded quickly to questions I had about the purchase. I would purchase from the seller again!

Rated by buyers 2 out of 5 stars - Needlessly complex
There is no reason this textbook should be this poorly written and edited. The point of any textbook is to clearly and concisely teach. "What The Numbers Mean" reflects neither clarity nor is it concisely written. Accounting is a fairly straightforward discipline and should be communicated as such.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Accounting: What the Numbers Mean
The book is well organized and comprehensive, with enough detail to make it an excellent starting point for accounting students and appropriate for management students who need a practical understanding of accounting's impact on an organization.Accounting: What the Numbers Mean

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - MBA Student
Waist of time and money. Even my professor stated something as to the likes of it being written by graduate assistants, and worthless in his mind.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - First class for my MBA
I have ordered from Amazon several times for my college books, and they have always been sent in plenty of time for my classes.
This is my very first class for my MBA, and the book was ordered early so have not had a chance to use it yet. It came unharmed, and in perfect condition.
Thanks.
