I ordered this for a class, then dropped the class.
By the time the book arrived the class had been dropped, so I promptly returned to sender following directions on the seller website. and I NEVER received my refund.
I do not reccomend this seller (they're in England)

The third edition of this textbook will be available in early December 2007, in time for use in Spring Semester 2008 or Winter Quarter 2008 classes(i.e., January 2008). The new publisher is SAGE.

This books suffers from the modern "flashy textbook" disease plaguing modern texts. Altough the layout is good eyecandy, the text is overblown and could be half the length without damagaing the contents. I can recommend it for those interested in the field, but consider getting a smaller/shorter book.

I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to study this book. It is extremely well wtitten, has explicit examples and provides a menu of wonderful supplimentary materials. Johnson and Christensen have reached the perfect meld of professional presentation and comprehensible material. Not only that, they are accessible for further elaboration. With the purchase of this book, the reader has a combination of knowledge and dedication to the education of research. It's one of the best I have come across in two years of doctoral level classes!
