We need another story Ms Hill, a connecting one for the sisters Dawne and Brian, and Desi plus more on Terri's relationship. This book wraps up things for the 4 older women, concentrating on Ellie and Ron, its not a surprise that Matt came into the picture but I liked the twist of it being illness that causes the dilemma however the ex coming back was used in the second book even tho the reasons were different.
Enjoyed the story but not the strongest one in the series and hence not a strong ending.

I finished this novel in one day. I loved reading about the ladies that run the "Pause For Men" health spa. I knew Matthew was going to try and worm his way back to Elizabeth but what a dilemma for her. Ron loves her so much and Matthew is ill. What is she to do? Ron broke off the relationship so she can figure things out and I thought that was very noble of him. Wil and Barbara's lovemaking and the love scenes between Ron and Elizabeth...MY GOODNESS. I missed not hearing too much from Ann Marie and Stephanie as well as Terri. Sterling and Tony are still part of the mix. In the end I'm glad all the couples are still together despite the FBI, the ladies are engaged, and Stephanie is pregnant! but this can't be the conclusion of the series because Terri and her boyfriend Michael, the Lewis sisters, Drew and Raquel, Wil's son Chauncey, Stephanie's sister Samantha, Carmen, and Ron's friend Ali Aziz should have their stories told as well. I know it'll be some good reading.

After Dark by Donna Hill, tells the story of Elizabeth Lewis. After twenty-five years of marriage, her husband left her for another woman. However, after some time Elizabeth got back on her feet. She and her friends own a very successful day spa for men and she has a new man in her life, Ron Powers.
Everything was going great until she found out that everything she and her friends worked hard for could come crashing down at any minute. Ron, whose business helped with the renovations for the spa, is being investigated by the FBI because of some things in his past that they believe could be tied to his current business. Because his company did most of the work at the spa, Pause For Men is also being looked into.
As if the investigation did not put enough strain on her relationship with Ron, her ex has come back into her life. With a life-threatening illness and no one else to turn to, he turns to Elizabeth. As she tries to help him get through this, old feelings start to resurface and they both wonder if maybe they never stopped loving each other.
After Dark was a good read. It flowed really well and I definitely recommend reading this if you are a fan of romance or Donna Hill.
