Arlene James invites us into the world of Eden, OK, a small, friendly town with with colorful inhabitants. Ty, our hero is a rich, powerful executive who should have looked down his nose at Charlotte and her family but instead receives their friendship with appreciation and recognizes that they hold claim to riches that he lacks - faith and a loving family. Fortunately Charlotte is available to teach him a thing or two about both.
His Small-Town Girl is a book you can get lost in, with characters that jump off the pages, an emotionally compelling plot and settings so well described, you can see them. I greatly enjoyed this book and am halfway through the equally delightful sequel, Her Small-Town Hero. Already, I'm sure that both books are keepers.

Two people from totally different worlds and values will touch your heart while they struggle with their growing feelings for each other and their beliefs. Anyone who has felt the pressure of life and responsibility will relate to Tyler. The author does a excellent job of helping him learn about faith and how his beliefs can be his strength and guide. For Charlotte she blossoms and grows, while feeling threatened when her calm, planned life it challenged with her chance with a future in Tyler's world outside her comfort zone. A highly recommended book and a keeper. Loved it!
