One way to tell when a new solitaire book is written by someone who
doesn't know the field is that FreeCell is not included. This book
is clearly a rehash of existing books on the subject, but full of
mistakes. Within the very first ten pages I found two games (Beleaguered
Castle and Eight Off) with incorrect rules. There are lots of other
mistakes: Spider, Penguin, and Cruel among others. The quoted odds
for numerous games are also wrong. There are many better books on
the market, particularly The Complete Book of Solitaire and Patience
Games by Morehead and Mott-Smith, the best book available despite
being over 50 years old.
The Complete Book of Patience
