Truly Unforgetabe
Georgeanne Howard, charm school graduate and Southern belle extraordinaire, leaves her fianci at the altar when she realizes she just can't marry a man old enough to be her grandfather, no matter how rich he is. John Kowalsky unknowingly helps her escape, and only when it's too late does he realize that he's absconded with his boss's bride. At the height of his hockey career, this bad boy isn't looking to be anybody's savior but his own, no matter how beautiful this angel may be. But a long night stretches ahead of them--a night too sultry to resist temptation.
When Georgeanne and John meet again, she is on her way to becoming Seattle's domestic darling and he is past his hellraising days. But he is shocked to learn that their single unforgettable night in paradise produced a daughter, and he is determined to be part of her life. Georgeanne has loved John since the moment she jumped into his little blue Corvette seven years ago, but she doesn't want to risk her heart again. Is he really a changed man? And will he risk the wrath of his boss, and one final chance at glory, to prove that this time his love will be everlasting?

Amazon.com Review:
In this saucy romance, charm-school graduate Georgeanne Howard has only two real talents: cooking and talking. Her Mae West-like body, though, is what attracts Virgil Duffy, a man old enough to be her grandfather but richer than Croesus. But when it comes time to actually marry Duffy, Georgeanne just can't go though with it. She makes her escape with bad boy John Kowalsky, the star hockey player for the team that Duffy owns. John has no idea that the gorgeous babe he is about to have a one-night stand with happens to be his boss's bride-to-be. It's not an auspicious start for a romance, but romance Georgeanne he does. Seven years later, Kowalsky discovers that their one night of unforgettable passion produced an incorrigible little girl who is even wilder than her parents--and Georgeanne is even more beautiful than he remembered.

If I've said it once, I'll say it a hundred times. I ADORE this author. Each and every book she writes seems to reflect her kooky, fun loving, drama Mama luvin' personality. This book was by far one of my favorites to date. Georgeanne was just the sweetest Southern peach that you couldn't help but root for. John was a bit slower to catch my affection, as he came across as a heartless, self absorbed jacka## in the beginning. Some might say "Well, he had a difficult life..." B.S. If anything, if gave him no excuse to put another woman through similar heartache. He redeemed himself though in doing right by the daughter he never knew existed until late in life, and he and Georgie were like a downed wire together. Full of spark and dangerous electricity, not to mention a flat out HOOT! Lexie, the Georgie mini me just melted my heart. Where can I find a little girl that adorable? Gawd save my makeup though! lol The only part of the book I didn't like was the character of Mae. Though a wonderful friend to Georgie, she left a bad taste in my mouth with her loose morals and bi##h with a bad attitude towards Hugh one minute and a nosedive for the altar the next. My head spin could have given Linda Blair a run. That "romance" made NO sense whatsoever. All in all though, it wasn't enough to sink the ship below 5 star level. The title of the book said it all...simply irresistable!

I'm a Rachel Gibson fan, and this was my latest read from her and now it's my favorite!
I could not put the book down.
I liked the depth of the characters and the growth Georgie and John went through. And Lexie's character made the book hilarious.
It's absolutely fabulous and a must-read.

When I very first started reading the book I thought, there is no way I'm going to be able to finish it with Georgeanne being so dang flighty. I could not stand reading her run on sentences and what not. But, she changes (and actually becomes quite funny to me later on) and the book picked up speed.
This book was definitely not all fluff. It dealt with some serious life altering events. Suicide, death of a child, alcoholism, etc...
Definitely worth reading!

I just finished my very first Rachel Gibson book and I'm looking forward to read other books from the same writer. It was well written, light, fun and sexy. A perfect book for the beach or a night alone by the fireplace. It's not a book I will treasure for years to come or that I plan to re-read as soon as possible but it was fun notheless. After reading the reviews here I was under the impression that it was full of love scenes and little else but that was so untrue! First of all, there were only two love scenes and although it's true that Georgie fell in love with John mainly because he was handsome, the development of John's feelings was much more gradual and deeply founded. Anyway, it's not a book for the demanding reader but for those seeking some fun and a few hours of romantic escapism.

Every one of Rachel Gibson's books is hot. Her two with hockey heroes really rocks and I have read them twice. Of course, my favorite is still Nick & Delaney in Simply Madly Yours. What a hero! But John and Luc in her two hockey romances sizzle. Enjoy.
