Editor's Notes and Comments:

Product Description:
Self-help guru Julia James is so good at being single that she's become famous for it-advising women that they don't need a man to be happy. Then the unthinkable happens. Just when her newest book, 101 Ways to Cheat at Solitaire, is about to hit stores, a trumped-up piece of gossip linking her to a gorgeous actor hits the papers. Their pictures are splashed all over the tabloids, and now Julia's credibility is about to hit rock bottom. But she isn't going down without a fight. Unless, that is, the actor is going down with her.

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Not Her Best Work
I read the teen spy series by Ally Carter and loved it. When I saw that she had written adult books, I was super excited. Alas, what I found in Cheating at Solitaire was obviously a very first work. There were good bits, but there were bits that make you role your eyes. It's another author writing about romance in an author's life. And the book's author character is so embarrassed by her romance book days - oh, how many times must we read that storyline! I love Ally's teen series. Her adult books, however...

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A Fun, Witty Read
This book was simply entertaining! I enjoyed reading it and it reminded me a bit of Bridget Jones humor. Not sure that I've ever chuckled out loud while reading before (perhaps that says more about me or my reading list), however this book did it. I'm already looking forward to Ally's subsequent clever book. You'll read this book and pass it on to a friend. It's that good.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - An ACE!
Cheating At Solitaire is the very first book in a long time that has made me laugh OUT loud while reading. It was fast, fun, and so witty. Ally Carter clearly writes from her experience and reminds us all why we should cherish our independence, whether married or single.
