First - this is my own opinion - I hope that you will choose to read the book yourself to make your own thoughts...
Secondly, I enjoyed this book immensely. I love Angela's books - from her old ebooks (which is how I found her) to the current themes.
Warrior was an excellent book - it brought back fond memories of my reading of Jane's Warrior and re-emphasized my memories of Freika - which was funny back then, but he is just as funny now.
The story is developed thoroughly, and has humour as well as sadness within.
I read it in one sitting - that's a score with me - if I can put it down and do other things, then it's only worth 3 stars - this one is definately a keeper.
Thank you Angela for doing what you do best! Now, where are my other Angela books so that I can go back and re-read them!

I loved JANE'S WARLORD when it very first released and have hoped ever since that Angela Knight would return to that world. What a thrill it is to see WARRIOR, a book featuring the time jumping Warlords and the villains they fight against! Fans of JANE'S WARLORD will appreciate that Freika appears in WARRIOR as Freika is a phenomenal sidekick. His feisty wisecracks make him memorable and I hope to see him in future books as well.
WARRIOR is an excellent entry into the series, and one that easily stands alone. The science fiction aspects are brilliantly done as Ms. Knight makes time travel seem very believable. The twists and turns of WARRIOR are fabulously done as there are some real surprises in store for the reader. I can't wait to see where Angela Knight takes us subsequent with this series!
The world of WARRIOR can be a brutal one. Angela Knight provides the perfect balance in Galar, a man genetically engineered to fight and yet one who can also fall in love with a woman such as Jessica. The love scene near the end epitomizes just how well both sides of Galar come together when his heart is involved. Bravo, Ms. Knight! You've got another hit on your hands with WARRIOR!

I think this book is one of Angela's best to date. The development of a trusting and loving relationship between her hero and her heroine is told so well. She takes a Terminator and turns him into a therapist, because that's what he needs to do when he can't walk away from the woman he comes to love. And, when she sees his foibles, she doesn't flounce off - she deals.
Yes, it's set in a time traveling universe. But there are certain relationships that transcend the temporal.
This is one of them.

Records show struggling artist Jessica Kelly disappeared on July 10, 2008; blood splattered all over her home implied she was dead. The Temporal Enforcement Agency (TEA) believes an illegal time Jumper killed her to drive the value of her paintings sky high; they think this time killer also took some of her work into the future. TEA sends genetically engineered Master Enforcer Warrior Galar Arvid from the twenty-third century to keep Jessica safe.
Jessica's roommate Charlotte knows a Xeran assassin is arriving soon. Before she jumps, she knocks out the TEA agents, cuts her finger, and drips blood on Jessica's forehead, which is absorbed into her body. When the killer arrives, he realizes that Jessica is tainted and needs to kill her. She fights back until the agents awaken; they injure the assassin, who jumps. They take Jessica to a temporal outpost in the fifteenth century Blue Ridge Mountains; there they place her in a regeneration chamber until she heals. They also upload into her brain information of the future where they will take her as history claims she vanished.
The Xeran battle borg Colonel Mercian is assigned to kill Charlotte and Jessica; the latter because the former tainted her. In the outpost there is a Xer spy who is to assassinate Jessica while Mercian kills Charlotte. Charlotte knows the Xer will try to kill her and Jessica again and endeavor to steal the valuable T'lin while her roommate will soon face adversaries with Galar at her side.
Time traveling as an industry with tourists, cops, and criminals seems plausible in this engaging Time Hunter thriller mostly because the lead couple is a solid pairing; future and present. The story line abruptly switches from a murder mystery to a pure science fiction thriller leaving too many threads unanswered specifically insight into the various species and the enigmatic Charlotte. Still the prime tale of keeping Jess alive makes for a wonderful science fiction romantic suspense.

And even better, its Angela Knight back to futuristic romance which is what we think she does best - Jane's Warlord is one of our favourite books and while we love her recent Mageverse titles, its Jane's Warlord that we adore and this is a spin off from the same world and equally as good.
