This is a great book for my upcoming trip to Egypt and Jordan. It has a lot of information and is loaded with plenty of colour photographs. I only wish there was a book for Jordan too. The book also shows views of streets and locations of museums and all the sites not to miss in Egypt.

While this book has a lot of pretty pictures, and quite a bit of information, I found the lonely planet guide to have about twice as much information on any given area, and cover more of the obscure places in Egypt.
