My girls (aged 3 and 5) love the exquisite illustrations in this lush book. I know purists abhor adridged editions, but for my girls the story is plenty long enough, and the rich pictures make every page of this book magical. The language is for older children, but the format makes the story accessible to pre- and early readers.
