Don't Fence Me In
My wife wanted a white picket fence. I wanted something somewhat more unique. We were totally confused when we went to look at fences --there were so many different varieties. So we went to Barnes & Noble to do some research and make an informed decision together! Rooney's book was a great help -- and incidentally good fun to read. Her descriptions and the lovely photos helped us decide to install a privacy fence -- to give us that special intimate place where we could relax after a long day. As Rooney points out, as housing lots become smaller and our neighborhoods become more crowded, we still like that feeling of privacy when we grill our supper or have friends in for a nice bottle of white wine. The book is so pretty and the discusion so good that I gave a copy to each of my kids.
