Paul was having one of the worst days of his life. His wife was having an affair, he got drenched in the rain, and had to show his face at another book signing tonight. As he begrudgingly entered the building, he noticed the incredible looking American. Just as he was going to step up to greet her, a man presented her with wine and a hug. Life just wasn't turning out his way today. Perhaps, his work would be the glue to bring them together.
ONE EVENING IN LONDON is a predictable novella with little surprise. The quest for love is quick to show itself and even easier to decipher. Even though the characters are from different racial backgrounds their voices seem to be identical. This makes one wonder when they are in London and the United States. The story idea works but the execution needs more development.

Love at very first sight was a saying that Paul hardly believed in, until he met Angela's alluring gaze across the crowded room of a book promotion party; one evening in London. With mixed feelings about approaching her, he thought he might as well suck it up because this could be his one and only chance.
Angela knew this man was all wrong for her. For goodness sake he was still married! And lets just say for the record her past relationships were not on the up and up. She almost married a man that was still with his wife and she would not travel down that road again.
Paul was obviously attracted to Angela but they agreed to be friends because it was just the wrong time in both their lives. But a year later when their paths cross again, feelings for one another come rushing back. Angela did everything in her power to deny being in love with Paul,but her stubborn heart would not listen. After pushing him away is there any way she can pull him back into her embrace and get him off that airplane?
I believe Ms. Lindley is a wonderful writer with unimaginable skill. She could put so many events and detail in such a short story but still make it enjoyable. I thought this story was a romance I won't soon forget. I award One Evening In London 4 hearts.

Let me say something nice first: "The cover was pretty!" The book only has 48 pages and they're full of typos! Ms. Lindley seems to have the potential to write an interesting book, but none of that happened with this effort. Oh well, back to the drawing board (or writing class in this case!), girlfriend!

In its contents and size it allows us to appreciate a non-traditional couple and to see ourselves in their special relationship. The writer puts warmth and feeling in the characters of Angela and Paul that helps us to see how romantic life can really be. When you read this story you will wish the author had expanded it into book size. We hope she doesn't stop here I anxiously await the subsequent installment. Good job well done.

This book is more fizzle than sizzle. I found myself reading waiting for the big build up that never came. Maybe if the author where to revise the book, adding more character development and story. This could possibly be very good book.
The book has a good premise of two people who meet one night at a party in London and are immediately attracted to each other. Paul a book editor is married, but not happily. Angela author is single and is not looking to be in a relationship at moment, especially a married man. Angela makes this clear to Paul, but he still finds himself wanting to get to know her. He takes her home, they part, and then it a year
Was okay read, but needed something more.
