User popularity level: out of 5 stars

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Another fine addition to the DC Archives, but...
DC presents us with another fine collection of entertaining Superman stories from the late 1950s. This is "check your brain at the door" silliness, but the energy and fast pace of most of these tales carries you along. As with volume 1, the reproduction, print quality and colour are excellent. But DC has done one thing wrong for which there is no excuse: the last story in the volume is Part 1 of a 2 part story...so you'll have to wait until Volume 3 (if there ever is one) to find out how it turns out. Surely DC could have afforded to throw in a few extra pages to finish the tale! That's why I couldn't give it 5 stars.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Wayne Boring and much more!
Full colour Superman stories from Action Comics 248-254 and Superman 121-131, originally printed in 1959 more commonly called the Silver Age of Comics. Wayne Boring, my favorite Superman artist, which is not to diminish any other artist, is represented in eight of the stories. In the old days, before the corporate masters elected to shoot the industry in the foot, most stories were complete in one issue. And, what a treat they usually were. So, enjoy the stories and art, and don't forget to buy volume one. Also recommended for public libraries.
