I don't read DC Comics that much to understand what is going on, who is who and stuffs. The opening of 52 confused me a bit but then the story just going, and it's good. Now I want more of 52!!

When I very first started reading this book I was in a state of confusion. All the characters and names thrown at me were bewildering. I suppose long time fans of DC could make sense of what was going on . I was seriously wondering if I had made a huge mistake buying all four books at once.
The more I read the more things started to fall into place and the more I began to enjoy the book. By the end I couldnt wait to start book 2. The artwork is very good and the discussions between each week a much better than average read.
Summary: A hard book for non DC fans at very first but ending up a very enjoyable read. great artwork and paper.

DC's 52 was highly ambitious, which made me more than a little nervous, since projects as big as these usually fall flat. With the big three missing, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, DC picks up some acilliary characters and kind of turns them into the modern age superheroes. Really DC is trying to kick start some other books. But they do a good job, especially since there is a book a week. Bravo gentlemen.

52 volume one is an awesome book, from the characters that are featured to the story. It hard to put down this book once you get started.

The collected editions of "52" didn't start appearing until the series had reached its climax. These new editions are well worth the wait: They include additional material such as essays and sketches by all of the key talent in the series. The press picked up on the lesbian "Batwoman" who makes her debut here, but she's by far the least interesting part of this series. "52" is a step above the previous "Infinite Crisis" event that preceded it, and about 52 times better than the "Countdown" disasterpiece.
