I think this is a great book of little quotes of encouragement that are great for any graduate. The quotes are just the right length that you can quickly look through it. There's nothing in it you have to spend significant time reading.

Having quotes is never as good as having the whole speeches because it does not have the power of story telling no matter how good the quotes are.
The best book so far on graduation speeches is "Graduation Moments."

We all occasionally say "I wish I had said that." Depending on the circumstances, we are referring to statements that were funny, profound or that have some other memorable trait. This book is a compilation of excerpts from speeches made at college graduation ceremonies. Some are funny, some are profound and others are memorable because of the context. In many cases, it is arguable that the quote listed in this book is the only thing that the graduates will remember from the speech shortly after it was made.
Graduation from college truly marks an inflection point in the lives of the students. For most, it is the end of their formal education and the beginning of their actual learning. Therefore, the ceremony is important for what it is. It is a specific event that lets everyone know that their lives have changed. As a college teacher, I have attended many commencement ceremonies. Some day I may speak at one and I hope that if that day comes I will be able to generate a phrase so that someone, somewhere will say, "I wish I had said that."
