From the supplier: US tax reform efforts point out that tax cuts are ephemeral unless matched by sufficient cuts in spending, spending cuts and economic growth do not automatically follow tax cuts and Republicans have relied too heavily on tax reform as a basis for their economic policies. The tax reform movement appears to be gaining support, however, especially at the grass-roots level. The National Commission on Economic Growth and Tax Reform recommends that the entire Internal Revenue Code be replaced by a system that fosters economic growth, makes government costs visible, and is fair, simple, neutral and stable.
