From the supplier: Teaching students about the spirit of sportsmanship requires a true understanding of the meaning of sportsmanship. It is not enough to launch educational programs that try to inculcate sportsmanlike conduct in athletes. What is needed is a critical evaluation of the metaphysical nature of sportsmanship that will allow athletes to acquire a knowledge and appreciation of the concept. It is also necessary to use a teaching methodology that takes the athletes' competitive history into consideration to enhance their ability to make moral decisions.
