I should have known after his last book, that this would stink also. I don't know why I keep going back to Woods, probably because I run out of things to listen to. I will not be buying any more of his books or even going to the library to get them. It is not worth it. I could not even get past the very first few chapters.

This was by no means his best work but it was passable. I would rate it a solid passing C grade. I was disappointed though to see so many errors. There is a scene where Irene is in the restaurant and calls "Ginny" Holly before she found out who Ginny was. And other errors like that.
And it read more like a chapter book instead of a novel. Quick, short and in between with no real beginning or end. Perfect for a by the pool/at the beach read....

As always pure Stuart Woods and Stone Barrington. Actually as you get in to the book the title makes perfect sense. With a villian like this what else could you do but SHOOT HIM!

Well this will go down in my reading history as the book that caused me to abandon Stuart Woods forever! His arrogance in cover notes notwithstanding, he is truly overburdened with self-pride. His hat size in HIS opinion is probably a 48 (or is that his waist? from all that rich Elaine's food and too much Knob Creek?)
His work stinks these days and has for the last few of his trite books.
It us just a damn shame to find an excellent, formerly interesting protagonist like Stone Barrington in the hands of what has become a very inept writer! This one truly and literally made me puke!
Stu, hope you saved some money......

Read H.L. Wasden's review in this section. He/she says it all perfectly.
I was testy as hell after finishing this book. I am furious at myself for buying another Woods novel. Really, I should know better by now.
And that arrogant afterword always ticks me off.
