Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - The Lions Lady - Great Romance Story!
I gave this book 5 stars if for no other reason, the sheer humour of it! It is so refreshing to read of heroine that isn't your typical one. Christina and Lyon are HILARIOUS! I love their dialogue. Lyon is a great character; loving, protective, arrogant, & understanding..and not to mention the most patient hero. The romance is great. If you're looking to laugh out loud and have a great romance story this book would be great. The only part of the book that I wish was different, was Christina returning to her Indian family for a least a visit. But other than that, i loved it from beginning to end.

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - The very first and the last
This is the one and only Julie Garwood book I have ever read and it was so bad I have never been tempted to try any more of her books. Unlikely plot, full of historical inaccuracies, anachronisms, lots of 'gotten's and wrong use of titles - Oh and endless gratuitous sex. Was not impressed.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - enthralling
Lion's Lady has a unique story line. It takes you in immediately and keeps you spellbound while the story unravels. I didn't read this book first, and I recommend that you do if you like trilogies. The characters are appealing. I purchased the fourth book with the same characters, Castles, recently and look forward to meeting these people again.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - quite gripping
this was one of my very first adult books, and that's probably why i was a little taken aback by all the sex. but still, they have it like seven times, almost constantly in the second half of the book. what i did like about the book though was the passion. i've read tons of romance, but the passion in this book blew me away. i also really liked the humour in this book, how lyon tries to control his anger when he knows christina is 'fabricating' to him. at first, i wasn't so happy about all the lust in the beginning as that kind of thing doesn't really appeal to me, but their relationship gets really good and very enjoyable to read(you will squirm a lot while reading this book). one thing i found amusing, was the prologue. it was the longest i've ever read, but also one of the best i've ever read; it was like its own little chapter, and though it was just a simple story about christina's native american family, i found it intriguing for some reason. (maybe i should read more stories about native americans hehe) i kind of wanted to know what happened to this family at the end, but oh well. overall, very hard to put down. i read it in a day and found myself reading through most of it again the subsequent day.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Loved the repartee between Christina and Lyon
I absolutely loved this story. A delightful twist on the white woman raised by Native Americans and returning to the ways of the "white man".

She brought both Christina and Lyon alive in my mind. I laughed throughout the book at how often Christina had Lyon twisted into knots. I enjoyed the repartee between the two of them. He never knew which end was up with her. She made perfect sense but with his proper English upbringing couldn't make heads or tales of what she said, at least at first.

Christina, having been raised by the Sioux, knows how to take care of herself as well, which is scandalous in English Society. I think my favorite scene in the book was the poker game in the tavern. I won't give anything away but it had me laughing so hard and eagerly turning the page to see what Christina would do next.

Another of Garwood's books that I simply couldn't put down until I'd finished it.
