Remarks: The 10th Royal Hussars (PWO) and the 11 th Hussars (PAO) were both raised in 1715 as regiments of Light Dragoons to deal with troubles north of the Scottish border. Both went on to win huge acclaim until, and indeed after, their amalgamation in 1969 as The Royal Hussars (PWO). Now they have had to face up to yet another amalgamation to form, with the 14th/20th Hussars, The King's Royal Hussars. This book, written by a former officer of the 11th Hussars (PAO), traces the history of the two regiments from 1945 until the very first amalgamation and then details the sadly short-lived history of The Royal Hussars (PWO) up to the time of the second amalgamation in 1992.
