The book was nothing spectacular, but it came in the condition it was supposed to come in.

This is a great book for staff who are starting in this role as there are limited courses that do not require you to purchase a lisence for templates etc. It gives a broad overview of thinking and learning. The structure and layout of the book is a good working example. Pleased with my purchase.

This book does a good job in covering the concepts of instructional design, but I hated how they quoted the same professionals in the field over and over again throughout the book. They should interview a wider range of ID professionals to appear more rigorous.

I came across The Essentials of Instructional Design while looking through a book catalog. As an instructional designer, I am continuously looking for new resources that I can use and share with colleagues. This book is a wonderful resource for instructional designers or a beginning book for those who are training to be instructional designers. It is well written and provides great coverage on important topics. For the price, you cannot go wrong adding this to your library.
